The Holy Bible
We know, by testament of the bible, that the Holy Scriptures were given by inspiration of
God (II Timothy 3:15-16), delivered by holy men of God as they were moved by the Holy
Ghost (II Peter 1:20-21).  Thus, the Holy Scriptures are free from error (Psalm 19: 7-11;
Proverbs 30:5), as no other writings have been, (i.e., Book of Mormon, Koran, Apocrypha)
or will ever be (I Corinithians 13:10; Revelation 22:18-19).  The Holy Scriptures are also
quick and powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword, and is a discerner of the thoughts
and intents of the heart (Hebrews 4:12).

The Bible further testifies that not only would God inspire His Word, but that He would
preserve his perfect word as well (Psalm 12:6-7; I Peter 1:24-25).  Berean Bible Baptist
Church of Hastings accepts only the King James Bible (a.k.a. Authorized Version) as the
perfect, preserved words of God, because it is the only Bible that is absolutely without
error.  All modern translations* of the Bible are rejected as being fallible and corrupt.  The
Bible warns us of many who will corrupt the Word of God (Deuteronomy 4:2; Proverbs
30:5-6; II Corinthians 2:17).  Berean Bible Baptist Church of Hastings accepts the King
James Bible as our only, final, absolute, and infallible authority by which all matters of
conduct and doctrine are to be decided and judged (Deuteronomy 17:18-20; Matthew 4:4,
Matthew 5:18-19; John 12:48; II Timothy 3:16-17, II Timothy 4:2; Revelation 20:21).

*Modern translations include the New King James Version and the K.J. 21 Version.
